Welcome once to a new VIRTUAL COMMUNICATION Post!!<\/span><\/p>\n

We are faced with a communication channel that presents us with a new challenge: can I be effective in my virtual communication as I am in my face-to-face communication?<\/span><\/p>\n

We are all working remotely to a greater or lesser extent and many days we hold virtual meetings.<\/span><\/p>\n

In my case, after 7 months without in-person training (only 2 days), learning and mastering communication in the virtual channel is my goal. Is it also for you?<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

WHY INVISIBLE NEGOTIATION?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

I have titled this post \u201cInvisible Negotiation\u201d because I want to highlight the importance of reaching collaborative communication when we are connected virtually. Therefore, today I will prioritize Virtual Communication Emotional<\/em>: tune in, generate trust, gain credibility...<\/span><\/p>\n

In my communication training and in my negotiation training there is one common point: the importance of all parties winning! A 21st century negotiation should not be imposing, it should be focused on \u201cWIN WIN<\/em>\u201d, to Win-Win, to take care of long-term relationships, to listen and respect, to dialogue, to reach an agreement of mutual benefit.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

And how do I approach Virtual Communication today?<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

As an empathetic and respectful dialogue, where both parties understand the technological differences of the participants and the current concerns that we experience. The social, health, economic and, above all, emotional situation that we are ALL experiencing should encourage us to Communicate with greater awareness and respect for difference.<\/span><\/p>\n

Therefore, allow me to highlight the 5 essential elements in all Virtual Communication, using the metaphor of INVISIBLE NEGOTIATION:<\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Listen consciously, without prejudging and without interrupting. Be attentive to the vital needs of the people who are connected: professional and also personal needs.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Focus on providing value to other parties, meeting mutual objectives. Offer my help in the areas where I consider myself an expert or where I have greater experience. For example, recommending technological tools appropriate to the needs of others.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Be willing to compromise throughout my Communication\/Virtual Meeting: give up my time, give up information, share my experiences, prioritize Giving and then Receiving. Boost tolerance, flexibility and adaptability.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Daring assertively to ask for what I need and to ask without fear of being judged. In the current situation, many questions arise in the virtual channel: there are different levels of learning, different technological tools. We are constantly learning\u2026<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. And of course, prepare NOW! for this new era of Communication, being aware that Virtual Communication is here to stay and that it has great advantages over face-to-face communication, mainly: productivity, sustainability and ubiquity.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
