Virtual Training for companies, for universities, for schools... is already a reality of our daily lives.

Technological advances are allowing us to enhance virtual training and obtain great productivity!

Virtual training has already existed for some years, although it was preferably a complement to face-to-face classes. We are demonstrating at this stage that it is possible to offer high quality training with a virtual 100% course.

There are 3 requirements for virtual training to be successful:

1- Camera always connected so that there is a two-way visual dialogue. The trainer has each participant in front of him and establishes a very powerful emotional bond.

2- Promote gamification and creativity to “virtually” practice what has been learned.

3- Allow sharing slides, whiteboard and activate microphones to make the participants protagonists.

What are the main advantages of Virtual Training?

1. CONTINUOUS INTERACTION: The trainer motivates participation using different tools: questions, icons, surveys, chat... By having a diversity of functionalities, the platforms allow us to continuously energize the sessions. . The icons “raise hand”, “like”, applause… allow recognition among students, increasing the feeling of “team”.

2. CREATIVITY. The participants are waiting. We can continually surprise them by offering them virtual creative training: Divide them into sub-classrooms, into small groups so they can work in teams, and then bring them together again in the face-to-face room. The trainer enters each sub-classroom and reinforces the tasks to be carried out, offers his help and, above all, his “energy”. We can also promote online work and the use of applications that reinforce learning such as mind maps, with MindMeister, for example. In the virtual channel, the possibilities of gamification increase exponentially, therefore, the trainer has in his hands to plan and develop content that keeps the student permanently connected, physically and mentally.

3. ACTIVE COMMITMENT of the participants. Each student can receive personalized content and the trainer is responsible in this channel for adapting the messages to the reality of the interlocutors, even live, since we can connect to search engines that allow us to access the most recent news of the day fast and efficient. When we personalize messages, we receive greater commitment from each student and effectiveness increases.

4. GREATER PRODUCTIVITY. In my two months of continuous experience as a virtual trainer I have come to the conclusion that we obtain more in less time: more results, more involvement, more participation, more responsibility... I recommend segmenting each course into a minimum of 2-3 sessions to include a practice in the interval (“learning by doing”) and discussing it in the following class, thus promoting group learning and applicability in the real world.

5. COLLABORATIVE ENVIRONMENT: From home we can retrieve any document from our computer, comment on articles, co-create with students... It is an exciting challenge! The participants also enrich the contents with their contributions, insert them into the material, share their experience and learning.

6. MORE EVALUATION RESOURCES: The platforms allow us to record the session and use the contents for the following classes. For example, if in the first session we perform a role play, in the next session we show the video and we will promote the 360º Feedback after the protagonists have seen themselves as “spectators”. It is also advisable to use surveys to find out live the opinions of attendees: what knowledge they have, what messages they prioritize or what type of practices they value most. Once we carry out the surveys, we share the results and establish a dialogue to jointly reach conclusions valid for everyone. Likewise, we will distribute the final evaluation online using forms such as Typeform or Google Forms.

7. INSTANT AVAILABILITY OF CONTENTS: At the end of each session we attach our material to the chat, with a link to our cloud storage platform: Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive... Students can also share their documents related to the subject in the chat. the session: articles, photos, exercises, test results...

8. UBIQUITY: We can now include participants from all the countries in the world in the same training! It is about making the call with a lot of empathy, selecting times that are within the workday of all attendees, reasonable and productive times. Multicultural environments are truly fascinating, learning multiplies, since the range of possibilities expands when we refer to how certain knowledge is applied in countries with differentiated characteristics.

9. EXCLUSIVE COMMUNICATION WITH THE TRAINER: on some platforms each participant can address the trainer directly without interrupting the class. There are icons such as: speed, greeting, for, against, break, time,... that allow a private dialogue between teacher and student.

10. SUSTAINABILITY. This is an obvious advantage that benefits everyone: less travel, greater care for the environment, minimization of external costs... We can take care of the students while taking care of the planet.

I encourage you to discover and enjoy virtual training, to continue learning and continue improving!

#yomequedoencasa

#yosigolearning

Todos hemos oído hablar estos días de que tenemos que buscar la cara positiva de cualquier situación.
