I have contrasted it with friends and acquaintances who take their children to schools, private or public, in Manchester and what I am going to tell you is NOT an exception.<br \/>\nThe \u201ckey\u201d word is FEEDBACK.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">When students do their homework<\/span>, the teacher collects them and delivers them corrected in the next class.<br \/>\nIn highlight color (<span style=\"color: #339966;\">usually green<\/span>), the teacher tells each student his opinion about the work done.<br \/>\n<strong>3 types of feedback<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>1. Personalized feedback. Each student has a specific objective to achieve per quarter in each subject. Recognition feedback. <span style=\"color: #339966;\">www<\/span> (What Works well) In Spanish, we would say: QHB: What You Do Well\u2026. Here the teacher gives positive feedback about the things the student has done correctly. In Spanish, we would say: MORE: Even better if\u2026. (what you must re-study and complete) Here the teacher gives constructive or improvement feedback on the things that the student needs to improve. And he encourages him to complete the exercise and show it again to the teacher. <span style=\"color: #ff00ff;\">And they highlight it in pink<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>Let me also highlight that it is a very visual Feedback! Colors help us differentiate sections and catch our attention! Those of you who know me and have attended my trainings already know that I love to use a lot of colors on my slides and also on the whiteboard (55% of communication is Visual!!).<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">When students take an exam<\/span>, they also receive the results the next day, with this double annotation.<br \/>\nIn some cases, if the result of the majority of the class has not been satisfactory, the teacher reviews in class the contents that have not been answered well, resolves doubts and repeats a similar exam the following week, to confirm that the topic has been internalized.<\/p>\n<p>I like to see that they prioritize quality over quantity of syllabus! They are concerned that the content arrives, that the student learns.
