Today I taught a 4-hour Negotiation class at the ESHOB University (Barcelona Higher School of Hospitality) to the 4th year Hotel Management students.
I have made an effort to convey, as a main idea, that any negotiation must satisfy both parties.
Attitude is the Key Factor, the Deciding Factor.
I ask my students to reflect on this… Of course, in every negotiation there is a “competitive” element and we should not give it up because it helps us reach better agreements. My point of view is that we must prioritize the “collaborative” element to promote effective and lasting Negotiation, always!
The Collaborative Attitude is necessary in every step of a Negotiation.
